Man Got People Talking After Being 'Crucified'

Easter also known as Pascha is a season where Christians celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ after His crucifixion. As described in the New Testament, this incident occured on the third after he was buried.

The resurrection of Jesus also depicts the hope of salvation for humankind and defeat of death. John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."

This verse shows that it was God's plan to let Jesus come on earth, tell people about His word and be crucified for their sins. Right now He's seated at the right hand of God interceding for us.

However, different denominations interpret Easter differently. A picture emerged online of a man tied on a cross with a thorn hat and blood coming from his hands.

Most netizens were angered by his action. One identified as Tirop K John wrote, "The Bible says my people perish for lack of knowledge... This is purely nonsense."

Another one said it was blasphemous to imitate Jesus. According to the Bible blasphemy is an unforgivable sin.

Others were wondering how he was being crucified while obeying Covid-19 containment measures because he was wearing a mask. Below are more reactions:
