The number of Churches in Kenya has increased greatly in the last 20years and with the increase, many Pastors and Evangelists are making fortunes from their followers.
Don't get me wrong, I am not against paying tithes but we all know some Pastors who now own private jets, luxury cars, and hotels all through the offerings given in church.
Here is the list of the top richest men and women of God in the country ;
Allan is the founder of Jubilee Christian Church and the director while his wife Kathy is the assistant and a gospel musician. The two who got married in 1994 have been together for 27years.
Their estimated net worth is over Ksh5billion with properties and mansions in the Runda estate.
Prophet David Owuor
The prophet who is widely known for his Evangelism work is the second on the list. He sure has a mass following and more often during his crusades he has been seen with a lot of bodyguards, using expensive cars, and even having a motorcade escort.
He has many church branches throughout the country and his Networth is estimated at Ksh3.4 billion.
Pastor Kamlesh Pattini
He was once involved in the Goldenberg scandal at one time. He is now a businessman who has great in Nairobi real estate business and also a part-time Pastor.
Adding his wealth all over its estimated that he is worth Ksh3.1 billion.
Bishop Margaret Wanjiru
The Bishop and Kenyan politician is the founder of Jesus Is Alive ministries church.
She got elected in 2007 and has since been in the limelight of politics as Starehe Member of Parliament.
The divorced Bishop has an estimated net worth of Ksh2.2 billion.
Pastor Pius Muiru
The prominent Evangelist has been in the industry for as long as I can remember since I was a kid. He has established himself as the man of God and throughout the country. His church also has branches in every part of the country.
He owns a mansion in his village and has many businesses on the side making him the fifth richest on this list with a net worth of Ksh1.9 billion.
Generally, these people make a lot of money from us as their followers but I fail to understand why some can't use their wealth to assist those in need like in orphanages or to the street children.
