Kingdom Seekers Fellowship Powerful Sermon: Thanking God In All Circumstances

We thank God for helping us in the first half of 2021. We are confident that he who started the good work in us will surely complete it. This is the beginning of a journey to our July prayer festival. We are taking these days to end the year 2021 powerfully. Our prayers have already began because we are dealing with a weighty matter of Altars and idols. Prepare your heart and tell God to give you the grace you need to seek him this season. We have been in a season where many people could see that there is no reason to be grateful. But God is faithful and his name is faithfulness. He is faithful in all circumstances. We must learn to thank him beyond our feelings and circumstances.

It takes alot of maturity to understand the operations of the kingdom. God can bless you even in hardships. Most of us base our gratitudes on circumstances but you can thank God in hardships regardless of how you feel because of how you know God. Yes there are people who have lost jobs, close friends or relatives during this Covid season, But we are here as we start this second half of the year to tell God that he is Ebenezer.

The Bible says, "Give thanks in all circumstances because this is God's will for you." This is because sometimes things can be good or bad but the Bible exalts us not to consider what we are going through. Give thanks not only because of good things but also the bad and ugly ones that happen.

Thanks giving in all circumstances is surely a reality. Even when you go through the valley of death, you can still find joy on your way to heaven. May God help us to mature into this level.

Habakkuk 3:17-19 says, "Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vines, even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty, yet I will rejoice in the Lord! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation! Poo The Sovereign lord is my strength! He makes me as surefooted as a deer, able to tread upon the heights. (For the choir director: This prayer is to be accompanied by stringed instruments)

Even though the fig trees produce not and no sheep or cattle, I will still rejoice. Because the Lord is my strength. We are dealing with idols and the things we idolize. Habakuk says that my strength is not in things but in the Lord. The only way you can give thanks in all circumstances is only when your joy is not in the bank account or in your job. He talks of the sovereign Lord. That he is in control of all circumstances because He makes my feet like those of a deer, then I can be able to climb to high places.

One thing that causes people to suffer depression is when what they value has been touched. Where your treasure, there your heart is Habakuk says that though property may lack, my strength comes from the Lord. Because he is our strength. What gives you strength to continue moving? If it is from above, we will continue climbing to high places even in troubles.

In the Bible, no one faced many hardships like David. But he is also the one who thanked God the most. When Saul wanted to kill him, Jonathan insisted that he wanted David to remain so he could confirm that his father was serious about killing him. He realized that it was so and told David to run way. The Bible says that Jonathan cried but David cried the more. But David knew how to give thanks even in such times. Psalms 57:1-5 says, "Have mercy on me, O God, have mercy! I look to you for protection.

I will hide beneath the shadow of your wings until the danger passes by. I cry out to God Most High, to God who will fulfill his purpose for me. He will send help from heaven to rescue me.
