5 Ways to Help a Hurting Marriage?

To deal with a Hurting relationships and marriages, you need to have a right relationship with God first. For through Him you can get help for hurting marriage, family and relationship. (I Corinthians 1:26:31,6:9-11,2 Corinthians 5:20-21).

2 Corinthians 12:9-" But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me."

1.Be loving always.

To be loving every time means, to have agape love of God that is only avaible from the God of love.

You need to be right with God first, this will ensure that you begin to love without conditions.

John 15:12-13-" Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. You are my friends if you do what I command."

Remember, your selfishness and pride will kill or destroy your relationship or marriage.

1 Timothy 5:8-"Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever."

2. It is God who have a plan for your marriage and every marriages.

At creation, God instituted marriage as a gift to Adam and Eve. Therefore wait for his intervention, he is not dumb or deaf he will come unto your marriage and make it purposeful.

Genesis 2:18-The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.”

Proverbs 18:22-" He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the Lord."

3. God has the solution for your problems, seek his presence.

All solutions comes from God, for with God nothing is impossible. If you seek him in truth and spirit, his mighty hand will come for your rescue.

1 Corinthians 11:3-" But I want you to realize that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God."

4. God does not permit divorce and separation in marriages.

Divorce and separation is highly condemned in the Bible. Marriage is holy and should be respected with all efforts. To allow divorce is like engaging in unfaithfulness, so please remain in your marriage and respect each other.

Malachi 2:13-16-"Another thing you do: You flood the Lord’s altar with tears. You weep and wail because he no longer looks with favor on your offerings or accepts them with pleasure from your hands.You ask, “Why?” It is because the Lord is the witness between you and the wife of your youth. You have been unfaithful to her, though she is your partner, the wife of your marriage covenant.Has not the one God made you? You belong to him in body and spirit. And what does the one God seek? Godly offspring.So be on your guard, and do not be unfaithful to the wife of your youth. “The man who hates and divorces his wife,” says the Lord, the God of Israel, “does violence to the one he should protect,”[b] says the Lord Almighty.So be on your guard, and do not be unfaithful.

5. God is the ultimate protector of every marriage.

God as he used to protect the children of Israel, so does his protection will come up upon your hurting marriages. He is not too far away to be reached. He is God of Mercy and faithful to His promises.

Colossians 3:12-17-"Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.  Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.  Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him."

Marriage is like a Shoe, you either fit in, become oversized or be small sized to hurt you along the way forever.

No marriage is perfect, it is only God who can make everything become perfect and radiant. Don't give up, make sure you give everything to God, and He will not let you down.
