Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: thou hast enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer. Psalms 4:1 (KJV)
The Psalmist acknowledged God as his righteousness and this made him to look up to God for righteousness.
He was also motivated to call on God every time he had needs because God is a prayer answering God; He enlarged or relieved him when he was in distress.
He knew he could count on the mercy of God so he cried unto God for mercy and the LORD heard him. The LORD is ready to hear and attend to your prayer.
When it seems that no help is coming to you, know that you can count on God’s mercy. Begin to pray for His mercy and He will come to your rescue.
His mercy is dependable and He does not discriminate with His mercy. Hallelujah!
