According to a local news outlet, the bishop and the Arch-deacon had involved themselves in a legal battle after the Arch-deacon was accused of involving himself in homosexuality. However, he emerged victorious in that case but he was forced to remarry after his wife left him following the case of homosexuality.[Photo Courtesy]
The Arch-deacon was given time to remarry but he did not marry within the time that he was given. The Bishop then decided to chase him out of the church leadership for going against his wishes. [Photo Courtesy]
However, the congregants were supportive and they vowed to stand with their Arch-deacon not to be chased out of the church. They staged a demonstration to express their sincere disappointment on what their Bishop was trying to do.
They claim that the Bishop was planning to remove the Arch-deacon probably because they had leadership wrangles or their own unknown differences. After finding out that the Arch-deacon will not be in the church, they went directly to his home and requested him to follow them as they held their mass.
