Governor Sakaja's Verdict On Closing 'Noisy Churches' In Nairobi.

The Nairobi governor, Johnson Sakaja has now made clear on the closure of Nairobi churches which residents claimed to be noisy just like the clubs in the county.

Sakaja's verdict on closure of churches comes few days after he ordered a crackdown in the county closing noisy bars and pubs that residents claimed to have affected the residents particularly school going children both during the day and night.

Speaking at Green Parks during the commissioning of bus terminals on December 1st, the Nairobi county boss announced that he will not close the churches. He stated that he will initiate dialogue with religious leaders inorder to come up with a solution going forward. He however maintained his stand on bars.

"I will not close the churches. We want them to spread the gospel of obeying rules and regulations. I will initiate talks with them because we must be reasonable and accommodate each other in the city," Sakaja stated

"I will not go back on the abolition of bars and restaurants from residences. We have closed that chapter. Let us move on. Those saying people will lose jobs are seeking sympathy. It is the right thing to do although is unpopular,"

Sakaja's remarks are as a response to the Artheist Community that called upon the closure of the churches.
