The head of the diocese who is the head of the church in Tanzania, Bishop Fredrick Shoo has confirmed that his chief executive died last night while undergoing treatment at KCMC hospital.
"It is a great loss for me, the family and for all the members of the Diocese," said Bishop Shoo, explaining that he had been hospitalized in the hospital owned by the Good Samaritan Foundation (GSF) since Monday this week.
Reports of the secretary general's death began circulating at 3pm yesterday via whatsapp groups and Bishop Shoo when asked that night simply replied "It's true tonight the diocese secretary general has left us."
Detailed information regarding the death of the Shoo is yet to be made public by the church and the public.
However, there are rumors that he succumbed to corona virus.
