What the Bible Says about Tattoos, Piercings and Braided Hair

A human being is a religious being who often associates himself or herself with a supernatural all being. Some believe in God, others in Allah, a number in Bhudha, and several other supernatural beings. This post is on the Christian beliefs and to polish each other on the do's and don'ts in this walk of salvation. In the recent past, the number of tattooed people has increased and those with body piercings are already on the rise. In this exclusive article, we shall check a number of bible verses and what they say about this topic. Take a look.

1.) Leviticus 19:28

''You shall not make cuts on your body for the dead or tattoo yourselves: I am the Lord''. This verse seems to be directly condemning tattooing the body in remembrance of the dead.

2.) 1 Timothy 2:9

''Likewise also that women should adorn themselves in respectable apparel with modesty and self-control, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly attire". These specific words from Paul to Timothy seem to bar women from braiding their hair.

If Christians have to follow the bible to the very last word, then body piercing and tattooing in the memory of the dead would be a thing of the past. Some National organizations and bodies also seem to be having a problem with Tattoos. In some countries, it will be very difficult to join their armed forces with tattoos on the body. Some tattooed persons are banned from blood donation in some countries.

In conclusion, plating hair, piercings, and tattoos will still remain a personal decision to be made by you alone. Rule your kingdom!
