While other politicians were bared from speaking in church, DP Ruto was given the opportunity to speak in Kiambu at African Independent Pentecostal Church of Africa. DP Ruto was scheduled some time within the normal running program so as to address the congregants. This is in contrary with the orders put across by Church Bishops.
The Bishops put it clear that if politicians are to attend a church service, they should attend, sit and humble, wait for the church service to end then the rest can happen outside the doors.
"From today henceforth, we have totally banned any politicians standing at the pulpit and addressing the faithful..., Let them look for audience elsewhere," Arch Bishop Julius Njoroge said.
We had several other leaders attending church services in different counties. These were the likes of Musalia Mudavadi, Gideon Moi, Justine Muturi a d Wangui Ngirici. However, Wangui Ngirici was bared from speaking at ACK St. Ngariama in Gichugu. She was there for a friend's thanksgiving.
