You have no right to be poor. You’ll be judged for being afraid to be rich. God will demand from you what you did with the talents and gifts He gave you. He equipped and endowed you for greatness. To emphasize this logic, Jesus gave a parable of three talented guys. But one feared to invest in the market place. He feared trading with the only talent he had. His judgement? Hell!!!
Matthew 25:26 His master replied, ‘You wicked, lazy servant! 30 Throw that worthless servant outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’
God’s kingdom has no room for laziness. Whatever you don’t use, you lose… and it is given to the one who makes use of his talents… and then you’re judged for sitting on your talents. Paul warned, “If you don’t work, don’t eat - 2 Thess 3:10.” Jesus said, “I’m at work and my Father is at work – John 5:17.” If you aren’t working hard, you are neither copying God or the Devil. You’re an impossible case!
God is an investor. Take your assignment seriously. He expects returns on His investment in you. Sin is not just adultery and witchcraft. What did Jesus say of the guy who worked so hard and returned ten talents?
Matthew 25:16 The man who had received five bags of gold went at once and put his money to work and gained five bags more. 20 The man who had received five bags of gold brought the other five. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘you entrusted me with five bags of gold. See, I have gained five more.’ 21 “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’
Ask yourself, shall the Master tell you at the end of your pilgrimage on earth, “You good and faithful servant, enter ye into the joy of the Lord,” or shall the Master tell you, “You worthless and lazy servant, go to the outer darkness where there is wailing and gnashing of teeth?”
