She was received by a jubilant congregation led by the church leadership which is situated in Martha Karua's hometown of Gichugu constituency where she has served as the Member of Parliament for decades.
From the video going round, Anne Mumbi Waiguru is seen being ushered into the church by the congregants who are happy seeing her walk into the church as they sing and dance to her reception.
"What a warm welcome by the congregants of kiandumu AIPCA church in Gichugu… I was blessed when they said unto me - Let us go into the house of the Lord."https://t.co/msEKI7Df0i
She has since celebrated the move and noted that the church people asked her to cone and join them in the church and she was really blessed to attend the church event.
Both Martha Karua and governor Anne Mumbi Waiguru have been great political competitors and they are said to be aiming at the governor's position in the upcoming 2022 general elections.
However, some are saying that Anne Mumbi Waiguru might be picked as a running mate to either deputy president William Ruto or Orange Democratic Movement ODM party leader Raila Amollo Odinga.
Incase she accepts to be the deputy president William Ruto's Running Mate, she will have left the governor's position to be run by Kirinyaga county woman representative and Martha Karua.
