Kirinyaga County Woman Representative Purity Ngirici was on Sunday, September 19, blocked from addressing the church.
According to a report by the Standard, the MP who attended service was denied a chance to speak.
Addressing the media outside the church, Ngirici said churches should allow it's faithful to address the congregation especially those who are in leadership position.
"The Church should know that some of us are born again. Someone like me I am born again. The church should not restrict us from speaking because we are members of this church. Therefore we should be given a chance to speak. someone like me I partake in Holy Communion and I cannot be given a chance to address and mes with the service," she said as translated into English.
Ngirici went further and urged religious leaders to bring onboard leaders and have a discussion with them on how to handle matters going forward.
He said leaders are part and parcel of church and therefore should be given a chance to Speak too.
