According to the Standard digital news reports, DP William Ruto donated one million shillings to the church which will help them in boosting their development.
The Deputy President also promised to send another one million shillings later on after the proceeds of his chicken sales.
DP Ruto stated: "He (God) raises the poor out of the dust and makes them sit with the kings and princes." The DP quoted the Bible verse Psalms 113:7-8 when he made the one million donation and pledged to give more.
"Many politicians come to church because I have evangelized to them. Please welcome them even though they come with a lot of noise sometimes. Some preach the word of God out of strife, envy and presence, what matters is that the word of God is being preached." The DP concluded.
