The head of the Catholic Church told parents to be supportive of their children and they should understand that they have different sexual frontages. This happens during his weekly general audience at the Vatican city.
The Pope told parents that they should see their children for who they are and not condemn their children for their sexual preference instead they should embrace them.
Francis continued by saying that gay people are also human beings and they have rights just like everyone else. The Pope also sent notes of appreciation to priests and nuns who minister to gay Catholics.
This revelation by Pope Francis has shocked netizens leaving them confused because the church condemns gays and lesbians. Many people have expressed their opinions and views regarding the matter.
