Wanjiru bemoaned the commercialization of religion and said that some clerics were amassing fortune at the expense of their flocks. The landlady, who alternates between living in Germany and Kenya, claims that she is opposed to making pastors wealthy in the face of widespread human need.
“Religion is now a business and I would not like to make a pastor rich. I would rather help someone and see the positive impact I had in their lives.” she added.
