Muigai Wa Njoroge is a Kenyan gospel artist who sings in vernacular ‘Kikuyu’. Muigai is prevalently notable as ‘Kigutha’ because of his hit tune ‘Kigutha’. Njoroge is said to be a previous Mungiki senior however he left the association and got saved.
Some hours ago he was live on his Facebook official page talking about the church and circumcision. According to him, he said that the church should leave the circumcision role to the elders and men of Kikuyu community since that is not their job and they have no moral obligation to advise a young boy on matters of marriage, life and how to becomes successful men.
He said that church is a slavery that people live in fear if what they don't know where christians are told to pray and they will get rich rather than being told to work. He went ahead and exposed the hypocrisy in church saying it has turned boys circumcision to a business where they are taking a fourteen years old boy from the mother and spend only eight days with the boy and they end up charging more than 10,000.
He therefore said there is no day a Kikuyu women will be allowed to take over boys circumcision in Kikuyu community like the church is doing and men should wake up and pick up their original role.
