Hon. Robert Alai is a member of county Assembly for Kileleshwa Ward in Nairobi. He has taken a sly dig on the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Church pastor, Pst. Omwoyo who allegedly chased away bridesmaids from a wedding in Nyamira county on basis of unacceptable mode of dressing as per SDA Church.
Hon Robert Alai has said that even Jesus Christ would accept anybody irrespective of their dressing and told Kenyans not to worry about Pastor Omwoyo.
Robert Alai tweeted, “Jesus would accept you even in your crop top or mini dress. Don’t worry about Pastor Omwoyo.”
A wedding in Nyamira nearly ended when the pastor scolded bridesmaids for wearing inappropriate clothing.
The pastor asserted that the SDA church was known for its strictness and that a wedding would not lead it to be compromised.
He became more irritated as the crowd booed and questioned him, so he stopped them from accompanying the bride.
