"We Are Not In A Good Place" Ruto Tells The Church Leaders At Statehouse Over Economy

Today, the president of the republic of Kenya, Dr William Samoe Ruto and his wife, Mama Rachel Ruto together with deputy president, Hon Rigathi Gachagua hosted some clergymen at Statehouse garden for a thanksgiving ceremony for being elected in the previous elections. Several leaders mainly from Kenya Kwanza attented this event.

Now, it was during this event in Nairobi where Dr William Ruto broke a secret and told the attendees that the country is not in a good place economically. As seen from the reports, the head of state said that this country is not in a good place as 65% of the collected taxes are being used to pay debts.

Ruto said that the existing loans are in excess such that a small amount of money is being used for development. Ruto had requested the IMF and other money lending bodies to exempt Kenya from paying loans at this time due to bad economic situation.
