7 Signs That You Might Be Having The Gift Of Prophecy

God has given man one of the most potent gifts: prophecy. It is one of the holy spirit's gifts. In other words, a prophet is a seer who can predict events and things that will happen in the future long before they occur.

The gift is one of the most significant since it is much required, and many people are always inquisitive about their future and what is likely to happen in the future, making a prophet such an important figure. Prophets, such as Jeremiah, Isaiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, and others, are among the most powerful men in the Bible. Jesus, too, was a prophet, but he was more than that.

God revealed to Jeremiah that he had known him before he was born and had appointed him as a prophet to the nations when he called him. As a result, God may ordain a person to be a prophet many years before he or she is born. How can one tell if they have prophetic gifting or not? If these things touch you, it's a sign that you're a prophet by calling.

1. A strong gut instinct

Are you the type of person that has a strong gut sense that you trust most of the time? You have a feeling something bad is about to happen. You could be doing anything else when you suddenly have the feeling that something bad is about to happen, and it does. This is a definite indication that God is calling you to be a prophet.

2. Perpetual daydreamer

Dreaming is highly frequent, and most, if not all, people may dream at some point in their lives. Do you ever have dreams about something and then wonder how it came to be? It is Good who offers men dreams. If you have a habit of dreaming, make sure to write down the details of your dreams and pray if something horrible is about to happen. Develop the practice of reading the Bible, and you will have a good understanding of how to interpret dreams.

3. Have a desire for holiness

Romans 12 tells us to be transformed by the renewing of our minds, rather than conforming to the patterns of this world. Are you striving to live up to God's holiness standards, and is this your highest desire? You enjoy carrying out God's purpose, and whenever circumstances arise that tempt you to compromise, you make every effort not to sin against Him.

4. God-fearing.

You can give up anything for God, and some people may think you are overly religious in some ways. Your desire to have a close relationship with God stems from your love for Him.

5. You are a mediator.

Is it true that you enjoy praying for others and have a heart for individuals who have not yet been born again? Every time you pray, you have a burden to pray for the nation and its leaders. Prophets serve as go-betweens for God and man, and the fact that you do the same could indicate that you have a prophetic calling.

6. You pray for long periods.

Are you someone who enjoys spending long periods in God's presence? Praying for a short period does not satisfy you, and you can spend hours upon hours praying. The prophets of both the Old and New Testaments shared the same habit of praying for long periods.

7. A strong desire to foretell the future

Do you have a deep desire to walk in the anointing of the prophet? When you witness other men of God's prophesy, it makes you want to be able to do the same. That's an indication that God wants you to walk in the same anointing as them. God is the one who grants the desire, hence it entails that God is the one who grants it.
