Four powerful weapons that you can use to defeat the devil

1) The word of God.

Ephesians 6:17 says "and the sword of the spirit, Wich is the word of God". This is the first defensive weapon we read about in Paul's passage on the armor of God. Jesus used this weapon in the desert when Satan came to tempt Him. Satan, at times using scripture to tempt Jesus, twisted the meaning but Jesus came back at him each time using scripture in it's proper context to defeat him and eventually Satan left. Therefore, we will be able to defeat Satan by using the weapons of our warfare that are mighty through God, and one of the most powerful weapons is the word of God.

2)The Name of Jesus.

One of our strongest weapon is the Name of Jesus. This Name, supported by a personal relationship, is a powerful force the enemy recognizes and fears. In the book of Philippians 2:9-11 says that " Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus is hard, to the glory of God the Father". The bible tells us that, "the name of the Lord is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it and are safe" Proverbs 11:10. David said to the Philistines, " you came against me with sword and spear and Javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.

3) Prayer.Praying is communicating with God. Simply put, prayer is talking to God. Prayer is a weapon have divine power to demolish strongholds. Matthew 21:22 "and we whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith".

4) The blood of Jesus.

Because of the shed blood of Jesus, we are redeemed, sanctified, cleansed, forgiven, and justified in the presence of God. Christ's blood grants us entrance into the very throne room of heaven where we are welcomed as children of God. The blood of Jesus provides victory over all our enemies. Revelation 12:11 says "They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to think from death".
