Today deputy president William Ruto has camped in Migori county for a series of political engagements. The deputy president was warmly welcomed by Nyanza leaders from the county led by area governor Okoth Obado.
The deputy president met Migori UDA delegates and aspirants for a consultative meeting. He urged political leaders to shun away from tribal politics and build national parties. He called for leaders to embrace unity in the country. He drummed support for his new bottom-up economic model.
After the meeting he headed to Awendo town were he addressed a mega rally together with Migori governor Okoth Obado. He thanked Migori residents for their warm welcome. He urged the residents to support his economic model and his presidential bid.
The deputy president then headed to a church service at Awendo SDA church in Migori county. Residents chanted hustler when the deputy president arrived at the church compound. The residents cheerfully welcomed the deputy president for the church service.
The deputy president is accompanied by various leaders from the county in the underway church service. The leaders includes Migori governor Okoth Obado, UDA regional coordinator Eliud Owalo and former Awendo legislator Hon. Jared Kopiyo.
