A catholic father In Nyamira county who goes by the name Father Nyambane of Gekano Parish in nyamira county, is seen whipping two boys who were got stealing. In the video that is being shared in social media the father seems to be angered by the boys action of responding where they did not sow.
Father Nyambane said Jesus Christ used corporal punishment while bringing order. He says evil spirits are either removed from people by prayer or instilling corporal punishment, as in the old testament when the priest and the teachers of the law used to disciplining people as way of instilling good behavior and characters to the followers.
According to the book of Deuteronomy 25:1-3 “If there is a dispute between men and they come into court and the judges decide between them, acquitting the innocent and condemning the guilty, then if the guilty man deserves to be beaten, the judge shall cause him to lie down and be beaten in his presence with a number of stripes in proportion to his offense. Forty stripes may be given him, but not more, lest, if one should go on to beat him with more stripes than these, your brother be degraded in your sight.
He urged the boys not to steal but work hard in school and be always prayerful to achieve in life. He said he will continue using a rod in instilling disciplining to boys with such characters and urged never to spare a rod for they will spoil the kids.
