Apologize for referring to Karua as non-believer - Atheists tell Mutua

AIK stated that if this is not done, they will notify the NCIC.

•AIK asserted that progressive political leadership is entirely feasible without religious convictions.

•"Would you accept someone who does not believe in God for a position of national leadership?" Mutua asked.

Atheists have demanded Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua to deliver a public apology to Narc Kenya head Martha Karua in 24 hours.

The Atheists In Kenya Society on Friday warned that failure to do that, they will raise the matter with the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) (NCIC).

According to the statement, the Atheists reprimanded Mutua for referring to Karua as an anti-religion. The organisation denounced his words as provocative and discriminatory against its members.

AIK added that progressive political leadership is 100 per cent achievable without religious belief and it does not matter whether Karua is an atheist or not as she can still create a great leader
