Controversial city politician Karen Nyamu has attracted the attention of social media users with a Bible verse that she published on her social media page. The politician has been making headlines for the past couple of weeks all for the wrong reasons, and therefore, her move to humble with a verse from the Bible was unexpected.
Karen Nyamu published one o the most common Bible verses, although the message in it seemed to be directed to an individual. The mother of one may not have mentioned any enemies in the verse but her followers could not help but fill in the blank spaces.
The verse that Karen Nyamu shared was from the book of Psalms 23:5-6. The verse preaches about God defending one from his or her enemies and making the person happy in the eyes of those who do not wish him or her good. It further speaks of God's protection against evil.
The question of who exactly Karen Nyamu might have been referring to in her post became common among her followers. She was, nonetheless, keen not to give any hints.
"You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life," The Bible verse read.
The impression that there might have been more to the social media post than what met the eye stemmed from the fact that the politician has been using her social media page to hit out on people she is not on good terms with.
Previously, Karen Nyamu made headlines when she leaked a controversial video featuring her and gospel musician Samidh. It is alleged that the two who were also once in a relationship had disagreed leading to the leakage.
