The temporary closure will allow for road works to be carried out in the service lane at Ruiru toll station next to St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church between 8:00am to 2:00pm. Flow of traffic on that section will not be affected says the authority.
Motorists are further urged to exercise caution and patience while driving through that road section on the aforementioned date closure.
This comes after the same authority announced the distribution of traffic along a sections of Uhuru Highway, between Bunyala and Nyayo Roundabouts so as to facilitate the ongoing construction of Nairobi Expressway along Mombasa Road.
The highway rans from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) to James Gichuru Road on Waiyaki way. The 27.1 Kilometre highway is 33 per cent complete and it's rapid progress can already be seen.
