(1 Samuel 1:11)

And she vowed a vow, and said, O LORD of hosts, if thou wilt indeed look on the affliction of thine handmaid, and remember me, and not forget thine handmaid, but wilt give unto thine handmaid a man child, then I will give him unto the LORD all the days of his life, and there shall no razor come upon his head."

Hannah was a woman full of affliction and sorrow. She was very bitter because nobody could solve her problems. Peninah used to provoke her every time they went to worship God in Shiloh. The provocation could not discourage her from going to worship God yearly.

Elkanah told her if he is not worthy ten sons when she refused to eat.She given worthy possession.Peninah was given possessions for her sons and daughters. When she had eaten and drunk she knelt down and prayed to God silently. The words could not be heard only her lips were moving.Eli the priest thought she was drank.

Hannah told him she was not drank but she was full of affliction and bitterness.Eli prayed for her and God opened her womb. Hannah rose up worshipped God and ate and went home . God blessed her and she kept her vow.

When Samuel was three years old he was brought back to Shiloh with sacrifices to serve together with Eli. Later God blessed her with more children. Hannah worshipped God and rejoiced over her enemies. The Vow of Hannah gave her prophet Samuel who later served in Israel as a judge.

Like Hannah we should act in true faith and go directly to the Lord, trust in Him to help us with the righteous desire of her heart. Also asking miracle at God's hand is not always wrong. We should fullfill our vows and God is going to bless us always. Amen
