“Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments, and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.”
Revelation 3:4
We can understand this for justification. They will "walk in white clothes", that is, they will always feel that they are justified by faith; They will realize that the righteousness of Christ is theirs, that they are all washed and whiter than the newly fallen snow.
Again, this signifies happiness and gladness: white clothes are festive clothes among the Jews. The face of those who do not defile their clothes will always shine; They will understand what Solomon meant when he said, "Go, eat your bread with joy, and drink your wine with a joyful heart."
May your clothes always be white, because God has accepted your work. A person accepted by God will be dressed in white for joy and gladness because they walk in sweet fellowship with Jesus. Whence doubtless, so much suffering and grief? Because many believers soil their garments with sins and mistakes and therefore miss the joy of salvation and the peaceful fellowship of Jesus, where they do not walk in white.
This promise also means walking in white before the throne of God. Those who do not defile their clothes here will walk in white where the white-robed eternal devotees sing. They will have unexpected happiness, happiness beyond dreams, happiness beyond imagination, and happiness beyond desire. All those who are "impure on the road" will be mercy, not profession or work. They will walk with Christ in white because He has made them "worthy". In his sweet company, they will drink from the spring of living water.
