Are there specific clothes that should be worn by men or women? Are there some clothes that men should never wear since they are meant for women? I know people will have different opinions and views since clothing depends on cultural believes and advancement in technology. Let's see what the Bible says concerning this.
This issue about dressing is discussed in Deuteronomy. Deuteronomy carries the laws of Moses. This means that this was among the laws of Moses to the Israelites. Deuteronomy 22:5 itself says this: “A woman shall not wear a man’s apparel, nor shall a man put on a woman’s garment; for whoever does such things is abhorrent to the Lord your God.”
This verse has been used on several occasions to support the view that males should wear female clothes and vice versa. However, this position has been disputed in the present days because of the presence of sexual minorities amongst us. This verse has not set out the fate of the transgender. However, cross-dressing is proscribed in the Bible in the book of Deuteronomy.
