Simiyu narrates how he met his wife by the name Susan Simiyu in Church. He was a preacher by that time. One day he had gone to preach very early in the morning and found a girl in the church who used to do cleaning and other duties of the church.
The lady was also a staunch member of the church. So in the process of church service they happened to know each other and finally fell in love.
They started dating each other with hopes of marriage. After dating for 18 years, the two got married in a beautiful wedding and started living together.
Life was good and Susan got pregnant. One day when the couples were asleep, Patric Simiyu realised that their bed was wet. So he waked up to put on the lights.
He was surprised to find out that their bed was filled with blood. His wife Susan was in her last days of pregnancy and she was about to conceive.
Now that was not normal because the blood was too much and the woman was not in labour pains.
Patric organised for transport and took his wife to hospital in the middle of the night. To his surprise, doctors recommended a surgery not to help his wife give birth but to save the life of his wife.
It was a matter between life and death as she had experienced a dangerous immature birth that almost killed her.
So after the surgery, the baby was born prematurely and developed some serious complications. The good news was that the life of Susan was saved.
The baby was abnormal because he was born before age and developed serious complications.
He could be fed through pipes and life was almost miserable for the couple.
They did not give up but pushed till the baby grew and named him Rian. The baby now is a grown up and doing well.
