Four Critical Reasons Why God Does Not Answer Our Prayers

God Answers Prayers, the Bible says in the book of Matthew 19:26 that, With God, all things are possible but some things hinder God from answering our prayers and desires. Let me share with you four reasons that hinder God from answering our prayers.

1. Sin.

Sin separates us human beings from God.

This is evident from the bible, Isaiah 59:1-2 “Surely the arm of the LORD is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear.”

2. Lack of Faith in God.

Faith without actions they say is dead. And in the book of Hebrews, the bible says that without Faith, it is impossible to please God.

In fact, Jesus Himself was teaching His disciples the power of Faith, that with faith, mountains can move. In Mark 11:22-24 “Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. “Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. Therefore, I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours”

3. Praying outside God's will.

God’s will is revealed in His Word. God does not answer prayers that contradict His Word. And God does not bless us with what can destroy us. The blessing of the LORD makes rich, and He adds no sorrow to it. Evidently, in 1 John 5:14 , the Bible says and I quote, “And this is the confidence that we have before Him: If we ask anything according to His will, He hears us”

4. Wrong Motive.

God will not bless you with money to waste yourself in drugs, alcoholism and prostitution. If you neglect your family, your taps will surely run dry. In James 4:3, the bible says that you will ask and you will not receive, why? because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures.

When you approach God in prayers, be humble. Confess your sins. Give thanks for what God has already given you. Ask for what you need with faith. Learn to bless others. You are blessed to bless. Practice the Huna's philosophy, “Bless that which you want” because what you criticize and resent will take wings and fly away.
