At around 9am today on March 19 2022, President William Ruto touched down in Nandi County to attend the highly anticipated interdenominational thanksgiving prayer service at the Kapsabet Agricultural Showground.
The Head of State who had taken an AW139 Kenya Air Force helicopter for his travel to the Rift Valley county as usual was received on the ground by Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua who had arrived earlier.
Then after greeting the leader, the security personnel and other leaders that had accompanied him, they headed straight to the venue of the service where congregants had already assembled for fellowship.
From photos that have so far been shared on the internet, we could spot that among the leaders that are attending that church service are various Cabinet Secretaries like Musalia Mudavadi, Susan Nakhumicha, Kipchumba Murkomen and others.
Also present are various Governors from the Rift Valley region like the host Governor Stephen Sang, Uasin Gishu Governor Jonathan Bii, dozens of Members of Parliament and Members of County Assemblies.
Being "interdenominational," various religious leaders from different denominations are gracing the service.
It's expected that political remarks will dominate the service or rather the venue after the service since it's only one day remaining to Azimio's mass action protests that are scheduled to be held tomorrow on 20th March.
The Head of State is also expected to guide, advice or direct Kenyans on how to conduct themselves come that tomorrow.
Below are some other photos that captured the President's arrival at the showgrounds for the service and how things are inside the dome of service.
While in Nandi County, President William Ruto is also scheduled to visit his alma mater today that's Kapsabet Boys High School.
Earlier today, Kapsabet students held their Sunday prayers amid joy and anticipation of the Head of State who is one of their powerful alumni.
Kapsabet High has so far produced two Deputy Presidents and two Presidents, that's the late President Daniel Moi and President William Ruto.
The school will be celebrating their 100 years of existence in 2025 coming five years after their peer Maranda High of Kisumu County held their centenary celebrations in the year 2020.
