Thika Residents have something to speak about. This is after a house of worship decided to open it's doors to a category of people who have received public bashing and particularly from the religious lot, these people have been criticised for a long time.
Am speaking about alcohol lovers. For many worship centers, drunkards are not welcomed. The religious leaders go ahead to preach against Alcohol consumption and sternly rebuke the act.
However, the Anglican church of Kenya has welcomed it's doors for this category of people in Thika town. According to a story and video posted by NTV on Facebook, the clergy of this church admitted to allowing these drunkards in church as a way of offering spiritual support to them and where possible help them change from their ways.
In addition, these category of people is not coheresed to give offerings. They only sing praise hymns and after a sermonate, they are allowed to leave. When some of the beneficiaries of the program were allowed to speak, they admitted that the church has really boosted their self esteem. With others saying many are the people who viewed them as criminals but the church has welcomed them.
