Ambrose Rachier's Revelation on Freemasons Shocks His Village

During an interview with Duncan Khaemba of NTV, Gor Mahia Chairman Ambrose Rachier said Freemasonry is perhaps one of the oldest societies in the world, dating back to medieval times. Rachier said that Free Masonry became formalized at around 1640 and then got perfected around 1813. Ambrose Rachier claimed that the goal of the organization is to engage in charity to help humanity.

Several residents of Gem Ahono in Gem sub-county, Siaya County where the Gor Mahia Chairman Ambrose comes from have however reacted saying that they were shocked by Rachier's revelation.

“To us Ambrose Rachier is an accomplished lawyer who is respected far and wide, and a role model to the youth in our society. We did not know that he is one of them,” said Sam Okinda, a resident of Gem Ahono.

According to Sam Okinda, Freemasonry is a satanic association which he claims commits all manner of ills. Okinda further stated that there could be a big change in the way the community will relate to Ambrose Rachier after learning the truth.

“Others would want to argue otherwise, but for us who understand spiritual things, this is not an organisation to associate with as a Christian or a Muslim. There will be a big change in the manner in which the community will relate to him after learning the truth,” he added.
