As we go through life, we often face difficult decisions and challenging circumstances. In these moments, we may long to hear from God and receive guidance and direction. The Bible provides many examples of people who heard from God, from the prophets of the Old Testament to the disciples of Jesus in the New Testament.
However, hearing from God requires intentional effort and a willingness to listen. Psalm 46:10 encourages us to be still and focus on God, rather than allowing the noise and distractions of the world to drown out his voice. By slowing down and being quiet, we can create space for God to speak to us.
Similarly, John 10:27 reminds us that hearing from God requires a relationship with him. Just as sheep know their shepherd's voice, we can learn to recognize God's voice through prayer, reading the Bible, and seeking his will.
Overall, hearing from God requires intentional time and attention, as well as a willingness to trust and obey him. But when we seek him with our whole hearts, he promises to reveal himself to us and guide us on our journey.
