Judy sued Pastor David Muriithi to demand him to pay Kshs. 100,000 monthly allowance so as to help in raising their two year old son and also paying his school fees.
Later, the disgraced bishop agreed to pay Kshs. 10,000 for the child upkeep. Pastor Muriithi complained that he would be only able to raise Kshs. 10,000 monthly as he also dependended on the well wishers for survival.
Bishop Muriithi also complained that her former mistress was just using the child to extort money from him.
Pastor James Ng’ang’a has been a friend to the disgraced pastor ever since 2012 when he married Mercy Murugi, by then Muriithi acted as his best man. He has therefore took the opportunity to protect the disgraced friend.
Speaking when on a sermon at Neno Evangelical Centre church, Bishop Ng'ang'a defended his friend calling on him to sue baby Mama Judy Mutave for getting pregnant without his approval.
He also adviced the pastor to fight for full custody of the baby rather than accepting to pay for the upkeeps of the baby monthly claiming to be a form of theft.
