The August polls are just around the corner and politician are using every opportunity to sell their agenda to the electorate. Particularly, burials have become notorious as politicians may take a lot of time selling their policies if they get a compromising clergy.
A powerful priest in Nandi county has rebuked the speaker of the county assembly Joshua Kiptoo for failing to follow simple instructions at a burial ceremony.
The priest had earlier warned all politicians against propagating their political interests during the final send off of their beloved member of the church.
Honourable Kiptoo however went against the odds and started politicking and attacked the administration of Governor Sang as having not performed to expected standards.
Seemingly furious, the priest asked everyone who had attended the burial at Aldai constituency to respect the departed soul together with her family as that was not the right forum to politic on whatever subject matter one would be having.
