Nairobi senator Johnson Sakaja is the most popular candidate for Nairobi governorship.This is according to the an opinion poll commissioned by Nation Media Group (NMG) shows and released on 23 May.Kenya Kwanza Alliance aspirant would get 37 per cent, Azimio La Umoja Alliance aspirant Polycarp Igathe would get 21 per cent if elections were held in early May.
Nairobi senator Johnson Sakaja enjoys majority support in Dagotetti North, Kibra, Roysambu, Embakasi North, Embakasi Central, Madakara, Kamkunji, Lang'ata, Ruaraka, Kasarani, Starehe, Mathare and Embakasi West constituencies.Mr Igathe has backing in Westlands, Dagoretti South and Embakasi South constituencies.
ODM Westland MP Tim Wanyonyi and Richard Ngatia of Jubilee were asked to step down for Igathe after he resigned from Equity Bank.
