Ruto Spills the Beans, Reveals Tricks Uhuru Showed Him to Win Mt. Kenya Votes

The 2022 election year is fast approaching and several leaders have been angling to face Mount Kenya in a bid to woo the vote-rich region.

The numbers in the region have been giving Presidential hopefuls sleepless nights if the unending forays made by the political big wigs are anything to go by.

William Ruto however says he is not a worried man and is not threatened by the perceived inroads made especially by his greatest challenger, Raila Odinga.

The Deputy President has visited the region times above number and is confident that not even the opposition chief can outdo him when it comes to a popularity contest in the region.

The shrewd tactician who has been deputising President Kenyatta for nine years gives credit to his boss and argues that Uhuru Kenyatta has helped him get into the nerve centre of the mountaineers.

"I am lucky that my friend Uhuru Kenyatta taught me how to get votes from Mt Kenya,” Ruto said before a congregation at Latter Glory Worship Centre in Kiambaa Constituency.

After the Church Service, he later addressed the locals after a series of empowerment programmes in the Constituency.

He said all he needed to do is to focus on their well-being. This he says is in terms of water, education and infrastructure, and their businesses.

Ruto argues that the greatest undoing for his opponents is to have buried their heads in the sand only to wait until election time to present themselves to voters.

It is widely believed that the Agikuyu community is a business-minded constituency and they will only dance to the tune of whoever will dance to their tune.

In his charming characteristics, the deputy president added that it is the President who told him to visit churches.

It is no doubt that Odinga is a wily politician who has been equated to the proverbial cat with nine lives, William Ruto is promising to be as slippery as a fish in water and that come 2022, he will give Odinga a run for his money.
