The rain is expected to start this month and continues in most of the East Africa countries until mid May.
According to the IGAD Predictions and Climate center, the season will not be as usual.
The season is expected to start 1-2 early in the Northern Tanzania, Northern Uganda, Western and parts of Eastern Most of the South Sudan, South Western Ethiopia and Southern Somalia will also recurved the rainfall.
On the other hand,a late onset is expected over North Eastern Ethiopia, in line with the expected drier than usual conditions in this part of the region.
Wetter than usual conditions are expected over Rwanda, Tanzania, Burundi, Kenya and parts of Eastern Uganda.
Warmer than usual conditions likely over South Western Uganda, southern Tanzania and much of Kenya and Somalia.
Warm temperatures above 28 degree's celcious expected in Eastern and south Sudan, Northern and Eastern Kenya, South Eastern Somalia and a few places in South Eastern Ethiopia.
