As President William Ruto made his first tour in Raila's Luo Nyanza backyard.Where he firstly attended a church event in Homabay town before embarking on a meet-the-people tour within the county.
The Events were graced by his allies from Luo Nyanza. Led by Jack Ranguma, and Eliud Owalo among others.
However, at the centre of his Luo Nyanza rally. Concerns have been raised. This is after the Homabay town member of parliament, Peter Kaluma, Homabay County Govetnet Gladys Wanga, among other leaders failed to make an appearance at the event.
A move that Homabay Town MP Kaluma has been forced to eat a humble pie after backlash from kenyans online.Amid his viral remarks where he alleged that he was unable to attend Ruto's event because of, a "lack of means."
Taking to his Twitter handle. The member of parliament has apologised and blamed Ruto's communication team for their ineffective communication.
The MP lamented that President Ruto's communication team failed to relay the information about Ruto's tour to Homabay county clearly and coherently.
Kaluma alleged he got the information so late. That using his car would be inconvenient from Nairobi to Homabay.Since he will be forced to take 6-7 hours on road to reach Homabay.
Adding on using planes would also be unfruitful. Since planes go to Kisumu during the early mornings and evenings.Hence making it impossible to make it for the event.
