Kenyans React To Atwoli's Remarks Supporting Ruto's Move Of Going After Uhuru's Allies

Francis Atwoli has backed President William Ruto's decision to go after Uhuru's associates amid allegations that they robbed public resources before handing over power, something that has left the country in a poor state.

According to Atwoli, who broke his silence after former CS Fred Matiang'i honored the DCI summons today, Ruto's approach to these suspects is a measure that will prevent more looting in the country.

He argued that these individuals should be named, embarrassed, and, if feasible, charged in court to ensure that justice is served for tax-paying Kenyans.

"People should be named, shamed, and, if possible, prosecuted so that Kenyans receive justice and our taxes are paid." "The government is conducting investigations, which I endorse, and citizens are being asked to explain their wealth, which is positive," he stated.

Yet, Kenyans have also taken to social media to protest Francis Atwoli's statements, despite the fact that he supported the former regime. Atwoli has been deemed worthless since he betrayed the head of the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition, Raila Odinga, by denying his support and joining the government to work with Ruto. Kenyans think that Atwoli's support for William Ruto is an attempt to prevent the government from going after him for calling William Ruto derogatory names, particularly during the August 2022 presidential election. We also want Atwoli to be thoroughly probed and prosecuted if he is proven guilty.
