Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria caused a light moment at the African Independent Pentecostal Church of Africa (AIPCA) Gatura in Gatanga, Murang'a County while speaking about Deputy President William Ruto.
Kuria sent a strong message to President Uhuru Kenyatta saying that Mt Kenya region will support Ruto come 2022 elections after the promise they made back in 2013.
Kuria made the church burst into laughter during his message as he said that President Uhuru wants Mt Kenya to go back to bed and start dreaming after they had already made their future plans on who they would support.
The MP further said they can’t go back to bed because they are busy with their businesses and farms as he assured Ruto who was in attendance that Mt Kenya will support him.
“When we were voting for President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2013, we knew in 2022 we will give it to William Ruto. Now Uhuru wants us to go back to bed and start dreaming yet we are busy people. We are busy in our farms and businesses,” said Kuria leaving the congregants laughing.
The lawmaker again left the church in stitches as he pointed at one of the MCAs who had took his seat after the church told the politicians to seat on one side and the church members to seat on the other side.
Kuria said since he is a church person, he was supposed to seat with the church members but the MCA whom he did not mention was too quick and he took his seat.
“There is an MCA who has taken my seat. This is my church and we were told politicians to seat on one side and church members to seat on the other side and he took my seat,” said Kuria.
