With less than 100 days now remaining for the August polls, many have been waiting for President Uhuru to hit the campaign trail and campaign for Raila who is his preferred successor.
Apart from endorsing him at KICC and later at Jacaranda grounds in Nairobi last month, President Uhuru has avoided appearing with Raila in any rally especially in Mt Kenya region.
This has left many guessing on whether Uhuru will take Raila to Mt Kenya and campaign for him.
Raila Odinga has today however revealed why Uhuru might not hit the campaign trail for him anytime soon.
Speaking in Kiambu at Windsor hotel where he met a group of Azimio aspirants, Raila Odinga has revealed that he will do his campaigns alone without the help of Uhuru Kenyatta.
"I am not President Uhuru's project, that is why I will campaign for myself without him by my side because Iam my own man", Raila said amidst cheers.
According to Raila, having Uhuru campaign for him especially in the vast Mt Kenya region will only be used by his opponents to label him as Uhuru's project.
For this reason, Raila has vowed to take himself to every region in Mt Kenya without Uhuru accompanying him.
