Just one day after Azimio la Umoja one Kenya alliance presidential running mate Martha Karua said that the Azimio commands the national assembly because their figures show that they have more members in national assembly than those of their competitors, seven members of parlimentary have joined William Ruto's Kenya Kwanza alliance.
United democratic movement joined Kenya kwanza on Thursday today giving William Ruto a major boost. UDM led by party leader and Mandera senator Ali Roba, the group met William Ruto at deputy president's official Karen residence.
UDM party pulled ba surprise in this year's general elections by winning 7 parlimentary seats and with the party joining Kenya kwanza it means that the seven members of Parliament will now be in William Ruto's side beating Azimio in numbers at national assembly.
However, legally the UDM party belongs to Azimio la Umoja one Kenya alliance and can only leave the coalition in December . The is because the party entered into a pact with Jubelee to back Raila Odinga . The pact stipulates that a member party can only leave the coalition four months after general election.
