The deputy president William Ruto's running mate who is also Mathira member of Parliament honourable Rigathi Gachagwa has dismissed claims that martha Karua is set to alter the voting Pattern especially in mount Kenya region.
Speaking to Saturday nation, he said that he is yet to feel Karua's effect in the region saying he hasn't heard of anyone who has decamped from the deputy president William Ruto's Camp because if Karua Effect.
He further said that in any case the former justice and constitutional affairs minister isn't a presidential candidate and that Raila who isn't accepted in the region is only hiding behind her.
He responded to an incident in subukia where an aspirant used Karua's photo together with hers instead of using Raila's.
This according to him means that Raila is still seen as an opponent in the vote-rich mount Kenya region.
"When I was in subukia, I encountered a jubilee ward representative candidate who has put her picture and that one of Karua on her campaign poster.
Ordinarily, candidates use the portraits of their presidential candidates. The people of the mountain know who the opponent is"? He said.
Asked about Karua's credentials as a reformer, Gachagwa said nobody is interested in history as people now just want someone who will tell them on how he plans to put food on the table and solve the problem of youth unemployment.
