
Ever since the top presidential candidates, Azimio's Raila Odinga and William Ruto from Kenya Kwanza selected their running mates from the vast Mt. Kenya region, politics have changed to be about the region. The two have been working very hard to gain popularity in the region with the hope that they will play a major role in the August 9 succession race

Analysts speaking in KTN News today morning, stated that the Mt. Kenya voters cannot be relied upon because most of them are indecisive. He cautioned the presidential aspirants against putting all their hope in the region. They claimed further that Ruto and Raila may even end up getting 50-50 in the total votes casted in Mt. Kenya come August 9th.

Recent polls have shown that Raila has started gaining popularity in Mt. Kenya region very fast and may surpass Ruto if the same efforts are maintained. This is after Martha Karua was selected as Raila's running mate.
