Nairobi expressway will run from Mulolongo to James Gichuru road. It will make the Nairobi City of Kenya congestion free, fast movement, economic rise and easy road traffic.
Nairobi Expressway is less than a year is quickly unfolding from what was a concept to a towering piece of infrastructure.
The programme was initiated by the government of President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2019. The programme is in the four agenda of the country. By the year 2022, it is believed the Expressway will be ready to be used by Kenyans.Uhuru launching the construction of Expressway.
The expressway will ruduce congestion in Nairobi town.
The road is being constructed by China Road and Bridge Corporation. CS James Macharia said that the project was to be completed by 2022 December but the contractor has reduced the time of completion to 2021 December. He said this during the National Development Implementation and Communication Cabinet Committee project assessment by cabinet secretaries.
“The contractor has reduced the completion time and we are excited. This will be a game changer once complete,” reiterated James Macharia.
Macharia said that the expressway will be a critical infrastructure that will link countries of East and Central Africa.
