Inside The Upcoming Nairobi Railway City Terminal - Photos

Nairobi Railway City is one of the mega development projects which are currently being implemented in Kenya, the project is an iconic multi-modal urban development that was conceived under the leadership of former President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The project is being implemented by the United Kingdom government under the Private Public Partnership (PPP). It is being constructed at a cost of Ksh30 billion inside the city of Nairobi CBD covering 425 acres of land that's between Haile Sellasie Avenue, Uhuru Highway, Landhis Road and Bunyala Road.

The project is set to have a magnificent terminal with a feature shell-like roof structures fanning out from either side of its platforms. This facility will make it easier for Standard Guage Railway trains, which will be landing inside the city to offload and load cargoes as well as carrying passengers. The project will also have a section for the Metre Guage Railway trains which are entering and moving out of the city.
