The 28th of November 2022 was set aside for an advance interview with Kanini Kega, a former Kieni MP and currently nominated EALA Member of Parliament.
The Jubilee party recently put forth a candidate for the EALA seat who is connected to Azimio; this candidate was elected to parliament.
Kanini attributed his success to the Kenya Kwanza faction of Mount Kenya, in particular to its leaders, despite the fact that he was in Azimio. After the majority of them betrayed him, Kega claimed that he learned Azimio's real character during the voting process.
Contrarily, Ruto's backers stood by him and eventually supported his election. When asked about the future of Azimio, Kega expressed hesitancy.
If Azimio doesn't calm down and resolve the internal conflicts that led to their defeat, the coalition might not last very long, claims Kega.
As a result of losing the presidential election despite having the support of the entire government, Kanini advised Azimio to review their strategy.
